A Misunderstanding

So in my Internet adventures for more Gundam 00 images, I happened to run across this picture.

In case you are not well versed in Gundam 00, I give everyone a warning:

Which kind of makes this picture even more funny. XD

Poor Tieria, not only does the Internet community make fun of him, but now they’re even freaking making PORN pictures of him. XD But I guess this is mostly his fault. I mean, c’mon, isn’t that guy due for a haircut about now? And what is up with his obsession with pink? For the most calculating and coldhearted of the Gundam Meisters, he sure loves the colour pink a little too much. I bet if you broke through the state of the art code protecting the door to his bedroom, you’ll find it loaded with teddy bears and Barbie dolls.

Thank god that in the second season, he’s going to get a haircut. Although I would prefer it if he didn’t copy his ex lover’s haircut. -_-; Not a good way to make a good impression to short hair Louise now, is it?

I can see something like this happening. Totally.

Macross Frontier

Now this is what mecha is about. >:3

Seriously, this is one anime where I think they spent 90% of the oversized budget on animating those mechas and making the music. The character design may be nowhere as pretty as we saw in Gundam 00, but Macross Frontier is filled with some badass battle sequences. And it’s still lighthearted enough to provide us with some fanservice episodes too. ^_^

Just a Coincidence

Woaahhh… So I signed in to Lemmasoft today and guess what the first thing I saw was…

1) ZOMG, did Sixten finally join Lemmasoft!?

2) ZOMG, has he finally decided to make a visual novel!?

3) ZOMG, it’s just another guy…

Man, what are the chances of something like that happening? It’s not “Heart’s Contents” but “Heart’s Content” without the S. That’s a 13/14 word match. Could this just be innocent coincidence? Or is this the work of a title snatcher? Dum dum dum…

*sigh* In any case, I got excited today for no reason. -_-; *wanders back to making mechas for SunRider*

Script

Whew… It’s been another day of writing the script for The SunRiders. Right now, I’m about halfway through Chigara’s arc. Which isn’t good, since I was supposed to have finished everyone’s arcs by the 20th. (Haha, fat chance I’ll make the deadline now. -_-;;)

Looking back, a lot of things have changed since I wrote the script for Raidaa no Asahi. I’m not really sure anybody knows this, but the original script for that game was about 35 000 words long. It’s just that only the first 7000 words ever became realized. But I must say, I had a lot of fun writing those 35 000 words, even if so little of it was actually made it into the final product. Because back then, I wrote for my own enjoyment. I wasn’t working based on a fanbase and I pretty much had nothing to lose. I just wrote whatever I wanted to write, and if it didn’t turn out good, I just skipped on to the next page and kept on going.

Obviously, the situation has changed rather drastically since then. XD Now, people have expectations that need to be met. Hell, in just three days, I’ll be joined by more than half a dozen voice actors and actresses who are going to do voice overs for the entire thing! @_@ And this is kind of embaressing, but I think all of them are much better at their art than I am at mine. XD Haha, but don’t anyone tell them that. >:3 I honestly can’t believe the amount of community support this little game has found. I’m really happy this happened. ^_^ I’ve been making games for about six years now, and in every single one of those year, I was dreaming of creating things like the SunRiders. Hahaha. XD

Mmm… But I will not say that this is not without its drawbacks. Writing the script isn’t really as fun as it used to be. Back when I was writing Raidaa, I could just laugh at my mistakes and just keep on going. Now, I have to make sure every single part of the script is almost perfect before I can move on because there’s a lot of people who are counting on me. I guess I’ve stopped writing for myself, and now I write for my audience/staff now. It seems strange. Just a few months ago, I was saying that all that mattered was that I was having fun doing it. Game making back then was for my own fulfillment. Now, I guess game making is done for the fulfillment of the community.

Hah, what am I complaining about. XD I’m sure my fellow game makers will burn me alive and hang my corpse when they see this. Complaining about having too much publicity. What am I, a moron? Hahaha. Okay, I’ll shut up now and get back to working on the script. :3

Game Addiction

Man… Why does this game always eat up so much of my time? I start it up, and the next thing I know, four hours have passed and I still have not yet made any progress on the SunRiders.

But seriously, Galactic Civilizations 2 is an awesome game. One of the best games I’ve ever played.

In case you’ve never heard of it, it’s a futuristic turn based strategy game where you become the leader of one of 12 unique races and you have to conquer the rest of the galaxy. Pretty standard premise. So, what makes this game so awesome?

First off, it’s just the feeling of power it gives you. Is one of your neighbors annoying you? Then declare war on him and crush him to little bits. Or better yet, design a bunch of ships with powerful engines, and then bust through his borders, capture his capital in a lightning war, and then ransome it back to him for millions of dollars. :3 But then, no wait! Your militaristic actions have caused your ally to distrust you! Now he has secretly started to take measures against you. Well, then I guess that just means you’ll have to pay off some old rivals to declare war on your old ally. And the crazy crap continues. Yes, the AI is seriously that crazy.

And one of the best features about it is that you can design your very own ships using the powerful in game interface! Yes, you can literally design ANYTHING. You could even create a mecha if you really wanted to and had the time. XD

There are also some pretty funny random events where you have to decide whether to take the good/neutral/evil paths. Your decisions have short and long term impacts on the game too!

It’s too awesome to see your custom designed warships duke it out for the glory of the homeworld. Too bad you can’t control the ships directly…

With so many different ways to win, there’s bound to be something to fit everyone’s preferences! Personally, I just like killing everyone else on the map. Fufufufu… :3

The galaxy is yours for the taking!

Now, if there’s just one thing that I don’t like about Galactic Civs, it’s that it doesn’t have any multiplayer. My brother’s also a fan of the game, so I’d like to play with him and beat him up. XD Considering that hot seat gameplay is a staple of games like this, I’m kind of surprised it hasn’t already been implemented yet. I guess there are things that you have to wait for in the sequel! Also, considering how smart the AI is, you honestly don’t even need multiplayer to find intelligent adversaries. XD

Now, this isn’t good for the production of the SunRiders. XD Hopefully tommarow I’ll play less and write more. :3
