By now, I think that most of the visual novel community has played the Katawa Shoujo demo at least once. It’s really quite an impressive piece of work, so you should definitely go download it if you haven’t already. I got the Hanako ending and I’m at roughly 70% completion right now, so I think I’ve played enough to give my initial impressions.
I’m definitely late to the party, but the (im)famous disability bishoujo game from 4Chan has finally been released. I didn’t really want to post about it until I finished playing it, but a combination of working on Sunrider, taking finals, and my laptop breaking down have kept me from getting more than 30 minutes into it so far. I’ll probably be posting a more in-depth review of it once I’m finished.
I’d like to think of myself as at least a half decent amateur 3D artist, but when I see crazy ass crap like this, I realize that I am and always will be nothing but a peon in the food scale.
That crap’s seriously awesome. Even if I had all the technical art skills in the world, along with a super computer 300 years from the future, I would still lack the amount of imagination required to make crazy stuff like that. Man, I better start saving money to buy that…
At last it is mine… Thanks to kendo, I became an instant poor man and I had to wait so long…
Currently stuck trying to figure out what the password to that steel door is based on the words “light” “sky” and “sphere.” Also disappointed that there is no Japanese voice over in the game.
Now that I have this game, I have to get this one.
In other words, poverty is inevitable. =w=
Woah, it’s been awhile since I wrote anything here. Exactly one school semester, apparently.
So, I’m finally done with classes for now and have spare time again. =3 I’m enjoying my time off by drawing some more art and cutting people up on Soul Caliber. (And complaining about that damned annoying Kilik…)
Ah-hah… I’m getting close to learning all her moves… Now to start stringing together some nice combos. The only problem now is figuring out how to get close enough to Kilik and his wooden staff of holy groin mangling (how dare he damage the most important part of Amy!?) to slash him across his face. >:3
Also, I’ve been practicing kendo for the past semester too. =3
It turned out being far more expensive than I anticipated (an entire set of armor costs on average $400 – and this forgetting about the sword and the travel expenses to go on tournaments and such…) completely withering my bank account, and so I have not been able to purchase a certain game that I swore I would purchase no matter how poor I was… Maybe I can teleport to Sixten’s house and play it on his system. =3
But I can now beat up bad guys with my bamboo blade. (No I can’t.)

Maybe I should redecorate the blog while I’m at it… The banner’s getting really old…

It looks like I’ll be in for a pretty rough year this time… Not only am I once again a full time student, but I’m also taking up kendo (no thanks to my lovely Kirino… =3) and I’m also going to start working part time to make ends meet/buy something very special…
This means that I’ll probably have a lot less time to work on my art and write… It’s really sad, but I guess I’ll still be a rabid anime fan and I’ll be one step closer to winning Kirino’s heart, so it should all be worth it in the end. =3

Just kidding. But judging from this video, it’d be hella cool if they did make it. XD

What’s even more scary is that I actually recognize some of these animes from my childhood… Holy smokes, did I really watch this stuff when I was young? XD
